Johnny: When I have to tell someone the name of my band, I'm generally pretty embarrassed. It's the stupidest name I've ever heard in my life. I don't know how it happened. I don't know why it happened. It's the bane of my existence.
Liz knows how is happened...
Link 1 is a REALLY cute picture of John in Australia with a koala named Vince. Vince is almost as cute a Johnny!!!
Link 2 is a really short, yet really cute video clip of Robby feeding a kangaroo...awww...this takes a while to load unless you have broadband...be patient...it's worth it...
----------------------------------
The Goos have often been refered to as a "boy band." Let me take some time to clarify why this is a completly untrue and just plain downright stupid statement:
1.)The Goo Goo Dolls write their own lyrics...music...everything
Boy Bands don't. They pay big bucks to some guy (or girl) no one ever sees to write their music and lyrics...
2.)The Goo Goo Dolls play their own music them selves and need no back up singers.
Boy bands don't. They prance around on stage over pre-recorded tracks real musicians made...it's a sad thing...they don't even prance well...they could stand to learn a lesson or two on prancing from John...not that he prances very often...
3.) They are a MAN Band!!!! MAN is the key word there.
They know what they're doing. They are experienced...they are not a bunch of stupid frickin' little boys just old enough to have graduated college. They Goos, at least John, went to College. And graduated. So there!!! MAN-MAN-MAN-MAN-MAN-MAN-MAN BAND!!! GET IT STRAIGHT!!!
----------------------------------
All right, for those of you who don't know, Liz loves the Goo Goo Dolls. Despite popular belief, she does not have a crush on John Rzeznik.
Liz considers John Rzeznik to be one of her role models. That may be a scary thought for some of you, but Liz thinks he is a really interesting person. Liz thinks he is an extremely talented guitarist and singer. Liz also thinks he has the best guy hair EVER!!! Below are a few of my 360 picutes of John and the boys. If you wanna go to the GGD's web site, click their banner above.
Liz's brother and the Goo Goo Dolls have influenced Liz to take up guitar. Liz is mainly self taught right now. She can play 5 GGD songs and some other songs like Time of Your Life (Good Ridance) by Green Day and some other Christian Music that her former and probably future guitar teacher made her learn. /:P In the X-Mas list section is a picture and maybe a description of the guitar Liz wants for Christmas.
Later in this web site's life, Liz will have a page with just pictures and facts about John Rzeznik
(I can see you rolling your eyes...stop it!!)
----------------------------------
Here are just a few of the resons liz likes the Goos, or John:
1.) They're cool
2.) They know how to play their music well
3.) They've got kick butt powerful songs
4.) Liz can relate to a lot of their songs
5.) John comes up with really original tunings...don't know any other band that does that...
6.) John's a stud muffin
7.) They support a lot of charities and stuff like that
8.) They're punk but they're not punk to the point where it gets annoying
9.) They don't write their songs to meet the music industries demands (see quote below)
10.) They treat their fans right
Q: When you're writing, I can only assume that you're not putting the expectations of the marketplace onto what you're doing.
RZEZNIK: No, that completely pollutes the intention. I always have this thing; if you write a really cool song, and then you put your leather pants on, you go out, and play, that's cool. That's playing with your image. If you put the leather pants on, and write a song to fit the pants, you're a total poser . You're being more conscious of your image than your craft, or whatever you want to call it, and you really have avoid that.

Liz just noticed this today (3.10.02)!! Liz has know for a while that John's got some Chinese symbols tattooed above his right wrist...Liz was looking through her 316 pictures of John. She found the above picture (from VH1 story tellers) and she noticed that the Chinese Symbol on her toe ring was the same as the center symbol on John's arm. Liz got this ring 2 year ago for Chirstmas. She doesn't know how long John's had that tattoo. Santa brought the ring...I think it's a sign! Here's a picture of Liz's toe ring...
